LoveNote for Lovers. . . Affirmation - The greatest rewards of living and loving come when I step out of the bounds of my ordinary existence and extend myself beyond what I believe my limits to be. I am willing to give myself to the relationship without giving myself up in the relationship, and to be willing to be what grows out of it. LoveNote for Lovers. . . When we are angry our feelings change from moment to moment. Anger produces feelings that are unreliable. Our feelings often rise and fall as our energy is drawn from the unstable emotions present when anger is being expressed. In those moments our feelings may not be the most reliable source of information to help us move past it. Before you blow up, cool down. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Often we are not present in our relationship. We are either looking into the past with regret or into the future with concern. This is it! To experience the reality of the present we must learn to live in the present; to be present to the experience of right now. The possibilities of the present are only available to those who are willing to live and love in the present. We cannot change the past and a concern for the future allows us to be absent from the present. Both options keep us stuck! Live and love every moment of right now! LoveNote for Lovers. . . It is only and always fear talking when we hear a voice telling us not to get our hopes up because we will only be disappointed. Relationships can drown in negative emotions. Feelings of fear are created in our own mind. The moment fear appears; we give up our power. Feeling fearful is only an expression of a lack of love working in our relationship. Fear only surfaces when we call it up by temporarily letting go of love. LoveNote for Lovers. . . An essential part of true listening is the discipline of temporarily giving up or setting aside your own prejudices, frames of reference and desires to experience as much as possible your love partner's world from the inside; hearing what is truly from the heart. Relationship Humor  A newlywed left work one Friday afternoon but, being payday, rather than going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and spending his entire paycheck. Finally appearing at home on Sunday night, he was confronted by a very angry wife and was barraged for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions. Eventually, his bride stopped the nagging and simply said to him, "How would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?" "That would be perfectly fine with me," he replied. Monday went by and he didn't see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results. By Thursday, the swelling had gone down just enough to where he could see her out of the corner of his right eye.
