Merry Christmas Links

A Merry Christmas Medley

Below you will find links to many of my favorite Christmas & Holiday websites. Enjoy!

Remember to leave a few Christmas cookies for Santa or perhaps a slice of cheese!

Cookies 'n Milk
Christmas Tree Christmas Tree Farms & More in Arizona - Find a Christmas tree and winter events near you! Choose-and-cut-your-own Christmas tree farms, a choose-and-THEY-cut, or a pre-cut Christmas Tree lot and other fun winter activities, like sleigh rides, hayrides and wagon rides!

Christmas Tree Track Santa on Christmas Eve - On Christmas Eve, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and North Pole officials will once again track Santa Claus and his reindeer on their global gift-giving journey. Because of a population explosion and a little overeating, Santa recently received FAA approval of a gross-weight increase for his sled. To make sure you have all the necessary tools to track Santa on December 24, have your children visit this site. Available in 6 languages!
Reginald the Red-Nosed Reindeer? - Here are some interesting facts about how the "most famous reindeer of all" got his name. Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree Santa's Secret Village - Larry's Favorite! A terrific interactive Christmas site for children (big kids too!). Check out all of the many activities in Santa's Secret Village. Move your mouse around on the buildings to find out where clicking on them will take you. Find the hidden stories. It's a fun site!
www.snopes2.com - There are lots of weird facts and Christmas myths we all vaguely remember on this decidedly nonreligious site for Generation X-mas-ers. Was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer really invented by Montgomery Ward? Was Jesus really born on December 25th? And where did those yule logs and poisonous poinsettia plants come from, anyway? Find all the answers as well as witty and irreverent holiday commentary here. The articles may be few in number, but they are expansive, well-written and thoroughly researched. Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree Christmas in Iraq - Christmas is celebrated differently by various countries and cultures of the world.
www.claus.com - Pay a virtual visit to Santa's home in the North Pole. The colorful, snowy town features an Elf School, where kids can play games online to earn an elf diploma; a Toy Workshop, where you can make your own virtual toy "Mrs. Claus' Kitchen" of tasty recipes; and the Post Office, where you can send e-mail to Santa. The Santa Tracker keeps tabs on Santa's route on Christmas Eve. Visit the Naughty or Nice Archives for Santa's report on your behavior this past year. Christmas Tree
Christmas Tree www.ChristmasinCyberspace.com/ - This sites mission is to illuminate the true meaning of Christmas. This site is designed to provide a strictly spiritual alternative to the commercialization of one of our faith's most sacred times. www.silentnight.web.za - Silent Night Web is devoted to the Christmas song Silent Night, Holy Night. Christmas Tree www.byrum.org - You're all familiar with the Christmas song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas," right? To most it's a delightful nonsense rhyme set to music. But it had a quite serious purpose when it was written. It is a good deal more than just a repetitious melody with pretty phrases and a list of strange gifts.

Santa with Deer

Who Moved My Cheese? Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life - Spencer Johnson & Kenneth H. Blanchard - Who Moved My Cheese? is a parable that takes place in a maze. Four beings live in that maze: Sniff and Scurry are mice - nonanalytical and nonjudgmental, they just want cheese and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Hem and Haw are "littlepeople," mouse-size humans who have an entirely different relationship with cheese. It's not just sustenance to them; it's their self-image. Their lives and belief systems are built around the cheese they've found. The point of the story is that we have to be alert to changes in the cheese, and be prepared to go running off in search of new sources of cheese when the cheese we have runs out.
