LoveNote for Lovers. . . We use reasons to explain away why we don't want to do something different; reasons why we don't want to change. If we know that doing something different might help the situation, not doing something different is called "stupid." The best reason why has never solved the problem. Often reasons why are understandable, however what is not understandable is why we feel the need to have our lives dominated by reasons why we didn't do something different instead of results. When we make the decision to go for results in our love relationships. . . that's the real moment we make a decision to grow and prosper. LoveNote for Lovers. . . We are strongest when we are letting go of what doesn't work. When we open our mind to behave in a different way, we create the freedom to love. To open our hearts to love is perhaps the greatest gift we can give to ourselves. LoveNote for Lovers. . . For intimacy to grow in a healthy love relationship there can be no withholding. Feelings - the relevant truth - both positive and negative, must be shared equally between love partners. . . in a loving way. LoveNote for Lovers. . . Forgiveness is for your benefit. It gives you the freedom to move forward. Telling someone you forgive them is a bonus and it is not necessary for forgiveness to be complete. Forgiveness will release you from all personal suffering and feelings of loss. Forgiveness is a mental attitude. Once convinced of its own idea, forgiveness is complete; freedom follows. Relationship Humor
A husband and wife came for relationship coaching after 20 years of marriage. When asked what the problem was, the wife went into a passionate, painful tirade listing every problem they had ever had in the 20 years they had been married.
She went on and on and on: neglect, lack of intimacy, emptiness, loneliness, feeling unloved and unlovable, an entire laundry list of unmet needs she had endured over the course of their marriage.
Finally, after allowing this to go on for a sufficient length of time, the relationship coach got up, walked around the desk and, after asking the wife to stand, embraced and kissed her passionately as her husband watched with a raised eyebrow. The woman shut up and quietly sat down as though in a daze.
The relationship coach turned to the husband and said, "This is what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do this?"
The husband thought for a moment and replied, "Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays, but on Fridays, I go fishing."
