Chocolate is still "in" for Valentine's day.
Chocolate brings your mouth sheer joy. The test of a fine chocolate
is its liquefaction. It should melt on the tongue - turning into a puddle - till it makes your taste buds begin to dance, then
drizzle down your throat, where it can work it's magic.
Here are a few healthy thoughts about chocolate:
- Chocolate is rich in antioxidants which may help protect against heart disease and cancer.
- Chocolate has little effect on blood cholesterol. It is a plant product and thus cholesterol-free.
- Chocolate has only tiny amounts of caffeine.
- Chocolate doesn't cause acne.
- Chocolate isn't addictive. (unless you eat 50-100 pounds at one sitting)
- Chocolate contributes little to tooth decay. Cocoa contains substances that may inhibit the bacterial growth that promotes
plaque formation and thus cavities.
Here's a little Valentine Humor:
- Question: What do you call a very small Valentine?
- Question: What's red and white and swims in the ocean?
- Question: What would you get if you crossed Cupid with a meat and vegetable dish?
- Question: What do farmers give their wives on Valentine's Day?
- Question: What did the caveman give his wife on Valentine's Day?
- Question: Why do Valentines have hearts on them?
- Answer: Because spleens would look pretty gross!
- Question: Why should you send your sweetie a Valentine?
- Answer: Because you always heart the one you love!
