Photos of Larry's Appearance on
"The View" With Barbara Walters!

Larry & Barbara

Larry James and
Barbara Walters

Veteran broadcaster Barbara Walters is host of ABC TV's "The View." Merideth Viera, Joy Behar and Star Jones were co-hosts the day of Larry's appearance on the show. The program is televised "live" from New York and mostly airs in the mornings.

Larry & Friends

Larry, Barbara,
Kimberly and
Craig Kinser

Kimberly and Craig Kinser live in Sacramento and were on the show representing a couple committed to working together to make their relationship work. The theme of Larry's segments on the show focused on paying attention to the little things, forgiveness and rebuilding trust.

Larry has just told Barbara he is replacing her on the show. Is that a look of concern or disregard? ;-)

Merideth first greeted Larry in the "green room" and introduced him to Barbara Walters and the other co-hosts and guests prior to the show.

after the show.

Larry gave everyone in the audience of 200 a signed copy of his book, "How to Really Love the One You're With." After the show he visited with members of the audience, posed for pictures and answered a few relationship questions. Several asked him to personalize their copy of the book.

Credits & Commercials: A special "Thank You" to Patrick Ignozzi, Senior Producer and Emmy Award-winning Producer for ABC's popular daytime talk show, "The View," for arranging this photo session. Patrick Ignozzi

Thanks to my dear friend of over 55 years, Bruce McNichols, for taking these photos. Bruce is a musician in New York City and was my guest on the set. He once told me a story about his band which inspired the topic, "Downhill is Hard, Too!" in my book, "How to Really Love the One You're With" (page 209).

Larry's Update: My dear friend, Bruce McNichols (1939 - 2012), died unexpectedly on February 16, 2012. We both served our great Nation together - he in the Army and me in the Navy on Adak Island, Alaska in 1957. Bruce McNichols

Bruce McNichols: Banjo, Soprano Sax & Vocals, Band Leader, has performed in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, Newport Jazz Festival, Breda (Holland) Jazz Festival, major motion pictures (for Dino DiLaurentis and for MGM), the Woody Allen Jazz Band, and opened for Benny Goodman, Woody Herman, Peggy Lee, Al Hirt, Rodney Dangerfield and Cab Calloway, played sold-out concerts from El Paso to New York and on the Tonight Show with actor/singer/banjo player George Segal.

Bruce was the founding leader of the Smith Street Society Jazz Band - the house band on the venerable radio station WNEW-AM - where he appeared with Ted Brown, Al "Jazzbeaux" Collins and William B. Williams. He has produced a dozen CDs and hundreds of radio programs including the nationally syndicated program Jim Lowe & Company, Radio OKOM, an Internet radio station, and a cable TV program.

RIP Bruce McNichols, you were among the best human beings on the planet and I was honored to have known you.

Image coach, Ellen Kaye of Perfect Presentations, Scottsdale, Arizona was in New York and assisted me in choosing my wardrobe, etc. Thanks, Ellen.

Thanks to my friends Karla and Anthony Peluso for keeping me company in my dressing room before the show. VenusKarla once assisted me in hosting the former Mars & Venus chat room on America Online for Dr. John Gray. John is the author of "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus."
